On a personal note, we raised three kids in Emporia. One of my greatest passions is servicing. I been the Past Chairman of the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce. I've chaired the Emporia & Lyon County Area Commission. I attended Emporia State University and obtained a degree in 1979. And have received University Service Recognition and Athletic Club Service Recognition.
